Ashengate East and West have fallen !
Sorry about the delay in getting
this update out. School just started for DC, and I've been really busy at
work and its been hard to find time to do this. Anyway, we have started our push
into Ashengate, and what a start it was. After having lived in these
zones, it was both a blessing and a curse to come back here. A curse in
that all of us are sick of the zone, and a blessing in that we are finally
raiding here and atleast being a puller we know the zone like the back of our
hands. Well some like the front of their hands, but we won't go there. Our first encounter was Ambersnout, and we decided to give it a whirl.
Its a fun encounter but badly tuned for just augs and we didnt' waste too much time on it, and moved on.

Then came the attendant event,
where it seems that size does matter. This thru us for a loop, until
Winluyen figured it out for us and we took it down which spawned a certain NPC.

Grats Tuneybane

Grats Sadenie

Then came the big dragon Sothgar,
he huffed and puffed, and this event actually gave Necros something to do
besides pump Mana and there were also adds. But we took it down pretty
easily.

And how sad a monk got the kill
shot !

Grats Shtik

Grats Winluyen

Grats Dreamcatcher and Searra
on our first TSS armor drops !
Now on to Ashengate
East, and the first encounter was the Griffon Master. The most fun I had
on either of these instances was us trying to figure out how to start this
encounter.

We eventually
figured it out, but decided to move on as it wasn't worth our time for just a
couple of Augs.
Then as we passed
thru the gates after the eggtenders we were ambushed by Stitch's minions.
But as Sergent Major Choozoo once said "it sure pays to know where you're gonna
be ambushed," and we did. And its a good thing too, as there were only a
few of us left standing when it was all said and done, not to mention DI saving
our last healer :-

Grats
Xaldibus

Grats Nicrina
And now on to Stitch.
Probably the hardest encounter we've had to date in AG, but in the end a
pushover. Actually no mob has yet to be as hard as Vergalid, but I'm sure
Lethar will have something to say about that before its all said and done.
The encounter had AoEs, big adds, little adds and a deranged Drakkin who likes
to play with Spiders.

And there was some loot

Grats
SSlithx

Grats Snasty

Grats
Soulkeepper

Grats Kiti
A couple more wins
in East and West and we will be ready to hit AG North where all the real fun and
loot is !
Shady's mistell of the day and other fun
Well thought I would give Shady
a break this update. He's been trying so hard to keep himself in check, I
felt I owed him that much. Especially since I haven't seen a mess up from
him at least in a couple of weeks.

The main thing I wanted to
concentrate on here was our recent success and progression first in Vergalid and
then now as we continue in Ashengate. I think this is largely due to all
of us playing well together, but more importantly the bonding that has come
about between our Warriors. They have become so close, one has to wonder
what really goes on behind closed doors between these burly, sweaty, fine men.
A hint of this can be seen from time to time, and it has got me wondering.
Here are some examples that I caught recently that might explain what I'm
getting at:
They seem to be getting close :

They have cute names for one
another:

Express their inner most
thoughts:

Offer each other advice:

Have unique forms of motivation
:

High Performing and competitive:

Looks like they even dress up
for one another:

They even try to work their new
found ways to others in the guild

And even do charity work, here
is a screenshot of them all dressed up and ready to head out to the Blue Oyster
bar :

And the next time a bunch of them miss a raid, we
all know where they are at:
