If that wasn't enough, he invites some more of his Minotaur buddies to the fight

The golems did not stop us, his Mino buddies
didn't stop us and in the end he couldn't stop us either.
Our next encounter of interest was Big Bynn.
Now this is also a cool unique looking NPC, basicially a metal
dragon. We talk to the designer of said dragon and he asks us
to test out its fighting capabilities. This is a fun fight
with many AoEs going off, killing crystals that heal the dragon,
fighting your way out of his belly once he swallows you and in the
end killing some more golems.

Once we learned the quirks of the encounter, it was pretty easy
enough beating the dragon down and getting lewts from the owner.

All in all the months of April and May have been
very good to Pak. The end of the month we slowed down a
little bit Mother's Days, Memorial day, graduations, BBQs, etc.
In true Pak fashion, I'm sure we will get back on track in June
and look to finish up Solteris and vigorously delve into SoF.

Pak train rollin' !!!!
Rollin', rollin', rollin', Keep them doggies
rollin' is what comes to mind with the tear we've been on as of
late. Now kids like Maereax and Tnail probably will have
no idea what I'm talking about but for the rest of us it feels
like an unstoppable stampede with no end in sight.
There were many in the guild who resented the
time we spent doing Fabled PoP, the tracking of the mobs, the
spontaneous raid calls, visiting old hated zones but in the end
all the gear that we got definitely helped us push past
encounters a lot faster then we probably would have done if not
for this farming effort. Now obviously this doesn't take
away from tactics and preparedness and general paying attention
during raiding as some of our wipes have proven, but it improves
our margin of error with the much needed extra dps and overall
improvement in gear.
Enough of the spiel, now for the update.
As you saw in the last update, our first win
during this timeline was the mucho difficult encounter of
Aprosis (4/15), but we did not stop there. Our next win
was even more special, but I will go into that more at the end
of this update.
The 3rd encounter beaten in a 2 week span was
Octa the Collector (4/21). This was a pretty fun fight,
with lots of adds that we basically kill before they have a
chance to be at one with Octa while at the same time beating
down Octa. Easier said then done, and we had tried this a
few times pre PoP fabled but were finally able to take it down.

But wait! There’s more!
Our 4th encounter, was Rear Guard Captain
Balreth. This is a very touchy encounter, and one wrong
move and you wipe from a gazillion Golems charging the raid,
like so (new red robe, same difference):

As touchy as the encounter is, there is never a dull moment.
First there was one
Then, there were two.

Then four.
Eight.

And eventually when we thought, we could handle
no more, there were sixteen !

But after Pak'Cafan was done with them, there
were zero(4/24). Yay !!!!!
Think we are anywhere near done, of course
not!!!! Two more encounters taken out this week were
Astire(4/28) and Bloodmoon2 (4/29).

Now if that wasn't enough, on to
the main part of the update, lol. I'll let DC chime in
here with her wonderfull words.
Ashengate. Tall corridors washed in
faded grey echo with the soft footfalls of red robed menders and
sages. Flapping of delicate drake wings in huge rooms at the end
of the corridors hint at bigger things to come. At first glance,
an insignificant black clad figure stands proudly next to the
iridescent blue-winged DRAGON. Both are motionless, transfixed
it would appear by the mysterious mosaic of a glittering dragon
on the opposite wall.
You know how sometimes it doesn’t take much to set someone off?
This was one of those times. Dumathin said muttered something
(probably a dwarvish curse) and it was on! The black clad
drakkin went from Mr. Nonchalant, just me and my little friend
hanging out admiring the artwork to LETHAR 2.0. We were not
surprised. We had had intelligence brought in by a couple rogues
that this transformation would happen, so spells flew, swords
flashed and the fight was on.
Lethar has a mean bad breath. Too much drakkin cooking we think
but it didn’t slow us down. He blustered, whipped his tail,
snorted and slashed with talons and was met with every blow
strike for strike. He knew he had to work at staying ahead of
the fight because soon a flash of blue scales and white teeth
joined the fray.

Florance, tiny little halfling that she is, sent heals sparkling
like thousands of lightning bolts surging through the warriors
as they battled two dragons….and bad breath.
Seeing the inevitable, Lethar’s little friend (She-lay down)
fierce eyes sliding back to their frozen state, the starry blue
scales fading, becomes once more immobile.
The battle is won as Lethar(4/17/2008) the once mighty dragon falls
crashing to the grey tiled floor, eyes turned to the mosaic of
the glittery ancestor for the last time.
