Pak'Cafan - Everquest

New expansion, Ashengate almost done and the beginning of FC !

Well its a little over a week since the new expansion has come out and as we normally do we like to take a little time of from raiding to check things out. All in all there is a lot to do/see with this expansion. Lots of new zones, new spells to be had, new AAs, new solo quests, new group quests. Not to mention new oppurtunites to improve ones gear with the tier 1, tier 2, etc... items. All in all from a bard's perspective all positives with the one exception of maybe our new songs have something to be desired. But that can probably be said for most if not all classes.

Well that being said Pak'Cafan is in the middle of its grind to get the membership to 80. Special kudos to Axedraggon who was the first member to accomplish this feat. Oh and Axe, get a life !!!!!!!!!!!

We've also had an influx of members as of late which only reiterates not only how strong this guild is but how highly respected it is across the server. Lets welcome Nynave, Turlo, Baxon, Kaalisti, Bandin, Bliechert, Gemenia, Senann, and Fusheng. I apologize if I've missed anyone. Oh and lets welcome back Masq who took a hiatous during the summer to find himself. On a slightly sad note, I have to say good-bye to 3 long standing members of Pak without whom we couldn't have gotten as far as we did. Bye Gromlok, Fenean and Shadowrogue.

Back to Ashengate, well last time I did an update we had just beaten Lethar 1.0 and were working on Dyn'lyth. Well I'm happy to say that encounter was a pushover and we kicked butt and made it look easy. Lots going on here as usual. Lots of adds, lots of mini's, AoE's, Ramp, keeping mobs away from one another, this had it all.

Once again, we went to Jenray, who showed us the path behind the lava and this time I took a picture !!!!

Once we got behind the lava, Master Drizzlorn Un ported us into the secret entrance to Ashengate and we made our way to Dyn'lyth. And Dyn'lyth is one bad looking mofo. When my daughter saw him for the first time Human/Dragon hybrid, she was like can I play a toon like that. Now that is how all the Drakkin should have looked.

Like I said earlier a fun encounter, but easily beaten.

One more encounter for Pak to go to finish of Ashengate. On a side note, we have also started our progression to getting into FC. Pak'Cafan has beaten the first 2 raid encounters in Valdeholm and are working thru the bugs of the third encounter and should have that beat in no time. Stay tuned for our adventures in farming both FC and Ashengate on our way to beating the boss mobs of both these zones.

The Push into Ashengate North !

With AG West and East slowly coming into farm mode, we started our big push into Ashengate North. After having spilt blood and giving up our first borns to Zhubis and Jenray they finally trust us enough to let us know that there is a secret entrance behind the lava in Direwind.

It is here, that we finally find Drizzlorn who lets us into AG North. I wish I had some screenshots of this, but we were all running around trying to figure out this whole process of getting in for the first time that I missed the oppurtunity.

In any case, we zoned in and no trash clearing here boy, the first event started as soon as we stepped in and we had to deal with Dynlth's army. This was bascially "Performer 2.0." But nevertheless was a very fun encounter.
